Vehicles with extra-wide or aggressively contoured one-piece hoods often need a 72-inch PPF roll to achieve a clean, seamless installation. The added width gives installers the material needed to cover oversized hoods and roofs without a visible center seam.
Standard PPF rolls are typically 60 inches wide. When a panel's width or diagonal pull exceeds that working area, using XL material helps avoid excessive stretching that can thin the film and reduce its protective integrity.
